TIBÁ
Short Documentary about the indigenous tribe Tibá, located in Cumuruxatiba - Brazil

In 1500, the territory now known as Brazil was invaded by Portuguese explorers.
At Barra do Cahy, only 18Km away from the Cumuruxatiba Village, began the exploitation and extermination of native populations. This has been happening for over 500 years now.
Amongst these peoples are the Pataxó, who are spread in different communities in the South of the state of Bahia and Minas Gerais.
Located in Cumuruxatiba, Tibá is one of these communities.
The fight here is to defend the territory, protect their culture, and survival of the people.
